Night Two

So Night Two Started Pretty Uneventful. Just Got To The Bar At About 18:00. Decided That Since No One Was around I Would Get Me a Drink So You Know M, "Guniess Please", I Told The Bartender. And That Was The Start Of It. So The Night Goes On And We Eat And I Begin To Thing, "Wow, There Is Nobody Here." In a Class Of almost 800 People Like Maybe 90 To 100 Showed Up. It Was A Very Poor Showing For Our Class. Anyway We Finished Up Doing Shots Of Jager And That Was That. All In All A Rather Uneventful Night.

Night One!!

So There I Was Looking Fabulous, So Evil R Says. Chilling As I Walked Into The Bar For Night One Of What Would Surely Be A Great Two Day Event. So I Walked Up To The Guy And Showed Him My ID, And Went Up The Stairs. When Low And Behold Who Should Be Behind Me But Davis, And Old Baseball Buddy. So We Chatted For A While About Stuff, You Know, Married/Not Married, You Been Keeping Up With The Boys, ETC. So Davis, One Of The Hottest Guys In The School Was Single And Didn't Have A Girlfriend. As We Talked And Looked Through The Name Tags We Both Had The Same Thought, "This Is Going To Be Weird." Just Seeing Those Name From The Past Was A Sight In It's Self. Seeing Familiar Names Of People That I Knew But Didn't Talk To Much. So Me And Davis Parted And Went About Meeting And Greeting Others. I Grabbed A Drink At The Bar And Headed Off In The Direction Of Some People To Say "Hi" To. Just As I Started Off To Them I Heard "VM, VMack." I Looked And There Was The Girl I Took To My First Homecoming. She Walked Up And We Started Chatting. We Talked About Some Old Times, What She's Doing, What I'm Doing. Then She Says "You Remember My Dad?" And Sure Enough There He Was. Turns Out That He Is A Sponsor From The School And Was There, All The Luck She's A Teacher Too. Guess It Runs In The Family.

So After That We Went Off To Talk To Some More People. I Saw People I Haven't Seen In Ages There: Grover, Gleave, Colburn, Huff, Walters, Schneider, Jarvis, DeBaca, And A Whole Bunch More. In Case Your Wondering, All Guys From My High School Or Baseball Time. I Was Talking To One Of My Good Friends Richmier, Found Out He Has Four Kids, And Lives In Greeley. Most Everyone There Lives Somewhere Around Here.

Then I Saw Her, The One That I Wanted To Go And See, That One Girl, That You Had A Crush On. Turns Out She's Engaged, Has Two Kids, Lives In The Old Hood, And That's About All She Has Going For Her. Not To Be Mean, But Her Fiancee, Was Not The Best Looking, Or Most intelligent Guy, Nor Did It Look Like They Had Any Money. I Smiled, Told Her I Would See Her Around, And Walked Off To Talk To Some More Friends. That Was Enough To Put A Smile On My Face The Rest Of The Night. Not That I Wish Her Bad, Just To Know What She Could Have Had.

I Saw Some Other Old Friends That I Haven't Seen In Ages, Like Peter. By The Time I Got To Talk To Him, Peter Was A Few Sheets To The Wind, But Was Still Peter. He Was Always Funny, And Could Always Make Us Laugh.

So Anyway I Had A Few More Rounds A Few More Conversations, But I Did Notice One Thing. Most Of The Girls Were Married And Had Kids, Or Were Engaged And About Or Had Kids. Not Much For Pickings. Slim To None At Best. I Guess That Single Girls Don't Quite Feel As Safe Around A Bar As They Used To. Also I Noticed That The Same Old Cliques Were There, People Talked To The Same People, Not New People. So I Said "Bye" To My Friends And Headed Back Home. Will See What tomorrow Brings.
